Wise Package Studio is a legacy enterprise suite for creating, editing, and maintaining Windows Installer packages. Built for IT packaging teams, it streamlines the full application packaging lifecycle by combining repackaging (capturing legacy installers into MSI), MSI/MST/MSP editing, conflict detection, and best-practice validation in a single console.
The toolset helps normalize software to Windows Installer standards, generate transforms and patches, and run quality checks (including ICE and rules-based validations) before deployment. Its workflow and repository features support collaboration, version control, and auditability across large packaging projects. Although no longer actively developed, Wise Package Studio remains a reference point for many organizations’ historical Windows application packaging processes.
